Find Your Work Spot!
The pandemic has introduced a new working style: working from home. Though not new, it’s definitely become a norm in the workplace. Since the pandemic started, there has been an increased number of online businesses as people saw the flexibility and benefits of working from home. As soon as people started working from home, they started looking for productivity tips to improve their online business or work productivity.
There are hundreds of distractions while working from home, so staying focused and getting work done can be challenging. Your environment has a significant effect on your activity. Create an inspiring work environment in your home! This might not be entirely possible for you but try as hard as you can to have a specific spot to work. As much fun as sitting in bed or on the couch to work, are you really that productive? Have a spot to work that you can walk away from when you’ve finished working for the day. That will make it feel like you’re “leaving” work and can unplug.
Choose the quietest room in your home. Set your business hours for when you will be in your office to give your work the undivided attention it needs. As you prepare your schedule, consider the following points:
When your team members need you to be available
Time of the day when you are most productive
Communication with the customers or your co-workers
Your in-home office should only be used for work purposes. Keep your work time and personal time separate. Your workday will be long and strenuous, so your personal time is there to give you time to rest and recharge. Allowing yourself to have a break will ultimately lead to fatigue and burnout.
As an online business owner, your productivity is SO important to maintain. You have a business to run, and it all starts with setting yourself up for success!
